About

Advisers whostay to deliver.

25 consultants and engineers, based in Harare and working across Southern and East Africa.

01Our story

We started Tmdteq in 2019 after years on both sides of the table — as consultants who handed over plans and left, and as technology leaders who were left holding them.

The pattern was always the same. A strategy arrived from one firm, the build went to another, and operations to a third. Each handover lost context, and nobody was accountable for whether the system actually did what the business needed.

So we built a firm where the same people plan, build and run. Our strategists write code reviews; our engineers sit in board meetings.

Our mission is simple: make the technology that organisations depend on work properly, and leave their own teams stronger for having worked with us.

Over the next five years we plan to stay deliberately small and senior, deepen our work in financial services and the public sector, and train more of the region’s next generation of engineers through our graduate programme.

02Values

What we value.

01Ownership
We take responsibility for outcomes, not hours. If something we built breaks, we fix it first and discuss the invoice later.
02Candour
We say what we think, with evidence, even when it is unwelcome. Bad news travels fastest here.
03Craft
We care about the details nobody sees in a demo: tests, documentation, error messages, performance on a slow connection.
04Continuity
Small pieces of good work, done consistently, compound into large results. Micro work, macro results.
